Hugh van Cutsem is a director of James Purdey & Sons, Hilborough Land and Development Co., Hilborough Stud Farm Ltd., Mossdale Farms Ltd. and Chairman of Ecospray Ltd. Previously, he was chairman and majority owner of Kestrel Data Services Ltd. and van Cutsem & Associates Investment Managers. He is also on the Council of English Nature and the Council and Executive Committee of The National Trust (England). Hugh van Cutsem is chairman of The Norfolk Committee of The Country Land & Business Association and chairman of the Pesticides Forum. He was educated at Sunningdale School, Ampleforth College and was commissioned in The Life Guards (part of the Household Cavalry). He has served as a DataCert board member since 2004.
