DataCert's Revenue Growth Secures Ranking on Inc. 500 and Deloitte's Texas Technology Fast 50
Both Recognitions Cement DataCert as One of the Fastest-Growing Private Companies in the United States
HOUSTON, Aug. 30, 2006 - DataCert, Inc., the leading provider of electronic invoicing and legal spend management solutions, today announced that it has secured rankings on both Inc. Magazine's Inc. 500 and Deloitte's Texas Technology Fast 50. This is the third consecutive year DataCert has been included in the Inc. 500 and the fifth consecutive year the company has been recognized on the Texas Technology Fast 50. Both awards are based on company revenue.
The Inc. 500, celebrating its 25th anniversary, ranks companies based on a three-year revenue growth from 2002-2005. To qualify, companies had to be privately held, based in the United States and have at least $600,000 in net sales. DataCert's three-year revenue growth of 317% landed the position of 475 on the Inc. 500. Throughout its 25-year history, the Inc. 500 has included recipients such as Gateway, Microsoft and Oracle.
According to Eric M. Elfman, president and chief executive officer of DataCert, DataCert's unique products and customer service are the primary components of its continued financial growth and repeated listings on the Inc. 500. "Our strength is in our product - Advanced Invoice Management System (AIMS). AIMS rests securely behind a corporation's firewall, which is a key differentiator from other electronic invoicing and legal spend management solutions. Corporations recognize that AIMS, along with DataCert's experienced implementation staff, allows law departments to take control of their legal spend while reducing the shuffle of paper invoicing."
DataCert's five-year revenue growth of 902% landed a ranking of 21 on Deloitte's 2006 Texas Technology Fast 50. To qualify for the Texas Technology Fast 50, companies must have operating revenues of at least $50,000 in 2001 and $5,000,000 in 2005, be headquartered in Texas and own proprietary technology or proprietary intellectual property that contributes to a significant portion of the company's operating revenues. Using other companies' technology or intellectual property in a unique way does not qualify.
DataCert was first recognized by Deloitte in 2001 as a Texas Rising Star, an award that recognizes substantial revenue growth for companies in business for less than four years.
"Sustaining high revenue growth over five years is an exceptional accomplishment. We commend DataCert for making the commitment to technology and delivering on the promise of market longevity. We are proud to honor DataCert as a Deloitte Technology Fast 50 winner," said Skip Moore, Regional Managing Partner, Technology, Media and Telecommunications, Deloitte & Touche LLP.
Winners of the 16 regional Technology Fast 50 programs in the United States and Canada are automatically entered in Deloitte's Technology Fast 500 program, which ranks North America's top 500 fastest-growing technology, media, telecommunications and life sciences companies.
