Three-part Series in New York and Chicago Includes Seminars, Idea Exchanges and Law Department/Law Firm Discussion Groups
HOUSTON, Oct. 22, 2007 – DataCert, Inc., the leading provider of legal and IP spend and matter management solutions, today announced that its interactive learning series on legal spend and matter management technologies will begin in New York on October 25 and in Chicago on October 30.
Each city will host a learning series composed of a best practices seminar, a corporate law department idea exchange and a collaborative discussion between law departments and outside counsel. In addition to discussing best practices, the series will also focus on how Fortune® 500 corporate law departments have used DataCert’s technology to better manage processes associated with the business of law.
“Using technology to simplify day-to-day administrative processes such as approving an invoice or compiling case information allows corporate counsel to return to what they do best – practicing law,” commented Jeff Bolke, senior vice president of field operations, DataCert. “The goal of our learning series is to provide corporate counsel with multiple opportunities to explore how their peers have used e-billing and matter management technology to streamline internal processes and realize increased efficiency and productivity.”
Additional learning series discussion points will focus on how to:
- Automate compliance with billing guidelines
- Better manage internal resources
- Centralize legal information on a global scale
- Strengthen outside counsel relations through legal spend transparency
- Add value to IP portfolios through the careful management of patent and trademark expenses
The New York learning series kicks off with a breakfast presentation on best practices on October 25. The seminar is followed with a corporate legal idea exchange on November 28 and a client-outside counsel workshop on February 21, 2008.
