London Presentation Scheduled for 6 March
LONDON, Feb. 27, 2008 – Datacert, Inc., the leading provider of legal and IP spend and matter management solutions, announced today that it will present a discussion on legal invoicing at the Practical Law Company’s Law Department Annual Forum 2008.
Jeff Hodge, Datacert’s senior director and vice president, will lead a session titled, “The Transparent Billable Hour: The Legal Invoice as a Relationship Management Tool.” The session is scheduled for 6 March, 2008 at 1:45 p.m. in London.
The practice of billing by the hour, the traditional method used by law firms to track billable work for their corporate clients, often leads to more ambiguity than clairvoyance when it comes to understanding corporate legal spend. Interest in the billable hour has peaked with the introduction of electronic invoicing technology that allows corporate law departments to take control of their spending. With this in mind, Hodge’s discussion will tackle questions such as:
- What is the controversy over the billable hour?
- What can the billable hour really tell you?
- How can you make the most of the billable hour?
- How can technology make the most of the billable hour?
The session is ideal for general and corporate counsel and managers/administrators who handle outside counsel and legal spend.
The Sixth Annual PLC Law Department Forum, dedicated to senior in-house counsel, provides an interactive forum for the discussion of best practice strategies and tools. The forum begins on 5 March and will be held at the Radisson SAS Portman Hotel, 22 Portman Square, London W1H 7BG. For more information, visit http://ld.practicallaw.com/5-375-8233.
