Datacert Achieves 60% Growth in Revenue from EMEA in 2009

Datacert continues to dominate the European legal operations management market with significant year-over-year operational and revenue growth

HOUSTON, Feb. 9, 2010 - Datacert, Inc., the leading global provider of legal operations management solutions, today announced that its EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) business achieved 60% revenue growth in 2009. Since entering the European market in 2005 and winning its first client there, Datacert has seen its EMEA revenue grow almost 900% and has expanded its operations to include four European offices in London, Paris, Frankfurt, and, most recently, Zurich. In addition, Datacert has built the only team in the industry of implementation, support, and relationship management staff that is based in Europe and dedicated solely to serving its legal spend and matter management clients there.

Datacert has approached the European market with a commitment to delivering unique products and solutions that are designed to serve its specific needs and regulatory requirements. This approach resulted in multiple product releases in 2009, including its Global Compliance Module, support for digital signatures, which is required by some European countries for compliant e-billing, and its Advanced Multi-Currency Module. Legal operations management systems that don't support the regulatory requirements of the European market often require European users to continue to manage a parallel paper invoice process, which leads to increased operational inefficiency for the company and poor user experience.

"Datacert has continued to lead the industry in EMEA by delivering significant value both in terms of products that actually meet the unique needs of that market and by supporting our clients here with local resources," said Rajitha Boer, vice president/director EMEA business development. "While competitors claim to have clients in Europe, in reality they typically are referring to a U.S.-based company with European staff who simply use their U.S.-configured system, which doesn't support the unique regulatory or other requirements of the client's European users. On the other hand, Datacert continues to close new business not only with U.S.-based companies wishing to deploy our systems to their global business units, including deals in the last month with three of the top financial services firms in the world, but also with companies that are actually based in Europe. For both of these types of clients, we deliver solutions that support the unique needs of their users in Europe, an ability which continues to fuel strong growth for our company."

Datacert is currently exploring expanding its operations further into the APAC (Asia-Pacific), a market particularly in demand by many of its large, global financial services clients. As it did when developing the European market for legal spend management, Datacert is partnering with expert tax advisors to fully understand the unique regulatory requirements of the APAC region.

"Datacert is a very market-driven company," stated Jim Tallman, president and chief executive officer, Datacert. "Our customers lead the way and we support them all along the way with expert advice and solutions to meet their needs and the requirements of the regions in which they operate."
