DataCert Workshop to Focus on Collaboration between Corporate Law Departments and Law Firms
Event Scheduled for February 7 in Conjunction with LegalTech New York 2008
HOUSTON, Jan. 30, 2008 - DataCert, Inc., the leading provider of legal and IP spend and matter management solutions, announced that it will host an interactive discussion for corporate law departments and law firms on Thursday, Feb. 7 in New York City. The workshop will focus on collaborative tools and processes for corporate law departments and their outside counsel.
The event falls on the last day of LegalTech 2008. LegalTech, considered one of the largest legal technology conferences in the United States, provides information for lawyers on the latest applications and trends in legal technology.
"The interest in collaboration is growing rapidly," observed Jeff Bolke, senior vice president of field operations for DataCert. "This workshop is an excellent opportunity for the two parties to engage in lively, in-depth conversation on how data sharing and technology can enhance business processes."
The workshop will be held on Feb. 7 from 8:30 a.m. ET to 11:00 a.m. ET at the Offices of the Association of the Bar of NYC (42 West 44th Street, New York, NY 10036.) Visit www.datacert.com/seminars to register or contact Josie Johnson at 832-369-6046 or jjohnson@datacert.com. There is no charge for registration.
This workshop marks the third event in DataCert's New York City learning series. The first event, held Oct. 25, featured an overview on legal operations management and solutions. A corporate legal idea exchange, which provided a forum for in-house counsel to discuss best practices with their peers, followed on Nov. 28. The purpose of these events is to explore technology best practices within the legal community and help corporate legal departments gain a deeper understanding of the tools needed to analyze legal and IP spend.
DataCert is hosting a similar learning series in Chicago, which includes a corporate legal idea exchange on Feb. 20 and an outside counsel workshop on March 19. More information on the Chicago learning series can also be found at www.datacert.com/seminars.
Prior to the seminar, Don Schad, DataCert's general manager of corporate legal solutions, will present at LegalTech on Wednesday, Feb. 6 at 11:45 a.m. ET. The session will focus on collaboration and is part of the conference's emerging technology track. The session is open to all attendees.
