created the Datacert Learning Institute, which provides a comprehensive training and certification program to clients and partners who use or implement our
legal software systems.
Datacert Learning Institute is managed by Datacert’s in-house Training Services organization whose mission it is to ensure that
clients have the knowledge and training they need to maximize the value they receive from their investment in Datacert legal management
software. This organization includes a full team of experienced legal industry training professionals, including Instructional Designers,
Software Documentation Training Developers and Training Delivery Specialists, who are skilled in the development and delivery of all aspects
of legal software training, allowing Datacert to offer a broad range of standard and customized training solutions to match each client's unique needs.
Third-party implementation professionals can also take advantage of the comprehensive training and certification programs to ensure they are equipped to
support clients' project objectives.

The Datacert Learning Institute offers training consulting services to help clients who wish
to assess how best to train their end users and technical staff to meet their overall project and
software use objectives. With a staff of highly-skilled training professionals that have extensive
software training experience, Datacert offers the ability to thoroughly assess the client’s training
objectives for end user and technical resources in order to define a training plan and strategy with
a recommended approach regarding course construction, course documentation, course delivery and a
deployment timeline. This plan includes who should be trained, definition around what is trained
based on user level or actions required of them, when to be trained and how the training should be delivered.

The Datacert Learning Institute offers a combination of instructor-led (in person or virtual hosted)
and computer-based courses to address all aspects of using, administering, and configuring Passport
and Datacert’s core Matter, Spend and Governance, Risks and Compliance solutions. Courses are available
in a variety of formats, including:
Instructor-Led Courses
Datacert training professionals utilize either standard or customized instructor and student materials
to deliver in-depth classroom-style training in the convenience of the client’s environment, either in
person or as hosted virtual sessions. Standard training covers the full out-of-the-box application
functionality, while customized training is tailored to the client’s specific application implementation
and can be full application training or role or action-based training. User level courses range in length
from 2 hour role-based sessions to full day sessions depending on the training objectives per client and
include extensive hands-on exercises to ensure participants become proficient and self-sufficient users of
their Datacert solution. Technical level courses offered by Datacert’s Learning Institute can range from
1 to 6 days depending on the overall scope of training per client including system administration,
configuration through the user interface and reporting.
Computer-Based Training
Datacert’s Training Services Group utilizes the latest technologies and tools to create a variety of
computer-based training (CBT) and computer-based instructional (CBI) options, including presentations-on-demand
(PODs) and Adobe Captivate® software simulations. These self-study modules allow users to quickly learn new
topics at their convenience and test their learning progress along the way. Standard CBTs can be customized
to match each client’s unique legal software design and business processes.
Train-the-Trainer
Datacert training professionals will coach the client’s internal training resources to enable them to train
other staff on how to use Datacert’s Matter and Spend management software and Governance, Risks and Compliance
software (GRC). This option ensures the client is fully-equipped with all of the necessary tools and knowledge
to train new staff members as they join the team or change roles. Clients can also then choose to leverage
Datacert’s out-of-the-box training material product to develop a custom training solution to meet the unique
needs and user roles of their organization.

Datacert’s software training is complemented by a certification program for end users, system administrators and
designers of the system. Datacert clients can rest assured that anyone who implements their Passport solution has
been properly trained and certified to do so, as all Passport system implementation professionals, whether a
Datacert employee, third-party consultant, or client resource, are required to hold the proper certification.
Clients wishing to may also require their internal users to receive formal certification for aspects of the
legal software that are relevant to their jobs. This helps emphasize to end users the commitment that management
has to the legal software systems, which helps drive change management.
