Discussion to outline advantages and offer direction on the next step in the evolution of legal technology

HOUSTON, Sept. 16, 2010 – Datacert, Inc., the leading global provider of software and services for the legal industry, will join forces with the Communications Technologies Peer Group ofInternational Legal Technology Association (ILTA) to host a webinar titled Consolidating Systems on a Technology Platform: The Next Step in the Evolution of Legal Technology on Tuesday, September 21 at 11:00 am (CDT). The free webinar was developed to educate legal IT professionals on the challenges associated with the excessive number of disparate legal technology applications and offer guidance on how the consolidation of systems on a technology platform can solve those challenges.

"The point solution approach that legal departments commonly use increases costs and negatively impacts efficiency and user satisfaction,” said Chris Fields, chief technology officer, Datacert, Inc. "System consolidation on a true technology platform is the next step in the evolution of legal technology because it provides a solid foundation of the necessary infrastructure for all systems and reduces total cost of ownership. During the webinar we will explore these and the other business benefits of a technology platform.”

Fields, and Phil Bryant, Datacert’s platform product manager, will lead the hour-long webinar. To register for Consolidating Systems on a Technology Platform: The Next Step in the Evolution of Legal Technology, visit the ILTA website.
